The island has a number of local delicacies that you might want to try while visiting.
Local Food
Manx Queenies - The islands national dish, they’re a type of scallop found in the waters around the island.
Smoked Kippers - Kippers have been traditionally cured in Peel for the last 120 years.
Chips Cheese & Gravy - Coming a close second in the latest poll for the islands national dish, and Lauren’s favorite by a mile, they’re available at all fish & chip shops on the island. There is also a national Chips Cheese & Gravy day, the last Monday of January.
Davisons ice cream - The Isle of Mans favourite ice cream!
Local Drinks
Beer - The island has a number of local brewery’s including Okell’s, Bushy’s, and Odin.
Spirits - There are also local distilleries including Fynoderee (Gin), Peggys (Rum), Manx Spirit (Whiskey) & Seven Kingdoms (Gin).

You can take a boat to the Calf of Man, a small island just off The Sound
The Point of Ayre (Northern most tip of the island)
Check out one of the many Glens on the island that are great for walks, popular ones include Glen Maye, Colby Glen, Ballaglass Glen, Groudle Glen as well as many others.
Walk, or take the electric mountain railway, up Snaefell, the islands only Mountain.
